How do you style a cheap wig?

My husband got an Elvis wig and wore it once, about a month ago, and it looked awful. It's a cheap halloween-store wig, about .

Now it's halloween and he wants to wear it again. Can I wet it? Spray it? Brush it with a wet brush?

    You can wash it. Use a little shampoo and warm water. Even cheap wigs will hold some shape. Shake it out well when done and let dry overnight. You can even set it with rollers to give it more volume, but don’t use heat! Curling irons or blowdryers will melt it!

    Then style it when its on, try to secure with a few bobby pins. Cheap aerosol hairspray works the best, gel or pomade will get cloudy and make a mess.

    First I’d try the spray and if that doesn’t give you the look you want then by all means try the other things. I do however think that a strong holding spray will give you the results you want.

    You can definitely style it. Handfuls of hair will most likely fall out though. Your best bet would be to lightly brush the hair into place & hairspray the heck out of it.
