what type of adhesive can be used for very , very ,very sensitive skin. some vids they put the adhesive on the hair front , you put on the forehead hair front. i seem to be allergic to ultra hold acrylic skin burns when i use alcohol and lace release..any suggestions?

    && a question for you too ..

how do you suggest i get my hair flat if i have about an inch and a half long hair . i have a side part in my wig so i was thinking about putting a side part in my natural hair and then flatening it down .
should i pin the hair down ?

    thanks

Check our my blog – there is a lot of information on adhesive choices and general lace wig information: LaceWigsHouston*wordpress*com. Thanks!

You don’t have to pin it down. Try a wig cap to flatten your hair. Hope this helps!

  8. Shoplacewigs says:

Mastix Spirit Gum is relatively gentle compared to most adhesives. Make sure that you conduct a 24 hr allergy test BEFORE applying the adhesive to your perimeter. This will help prevent an allergic reaction that convers your entire hairline. Hope this helps! Thanks again!

where should you store all these things ie what temp? To keep them for a long period of time without drying out. If im going to wear lace wigs for a while should i keep buying small bottles or one lrg. bottle of these items. Great advice on lacefronts!!!!

  10. Shoplacewigs says:

Room temperature is fine for all of the items I list in the video. Certain other adhesives may last longer if regrigerated. I recommend small bottles when you are experimenting to find the rght adhesive combinaton for your skin type & activity level. Once you know what works for you – STOCK UP :)

How do you wash it on the wig head? I do have a tangle problem. I don’t think I have heard of this method.

  12. Godivakiss says:

Hello, What color lace do you wear? Can translucent lace work on your complexion? We’re about the same complexion. I don’t know which color lace to buy. Please help.

  13. Godivakiss says:

Did you shave your hairline back?

  14. Shoplacewigs says:

No. I was just blessed with a “meant to wear lace wigs” Tyra-fivehead LOL! I don’t recommend shaving the hairline for anyone who is planning on wearing their natural hair again. If you have alopecia or thinning hair and have decided to never wear your own hair then shaving is an option. If you have a low forehead, try applying the wig behind your hairline without adhesives and use adjustable straps (custom wig) or wig clips (stock wig) at the nape = a snug fit, so that the front lays flat.

I recommend leaving 1/8″ of your own hair out with a sew in method. This will yield a more natural look. Also, sew onto an inverted cornrow (braid on the inside) for a flatter appearance.

Wonderful video. I have a question for you since you are more experienced than me. I really hate using bonds because I hate the gooey mess with applying and removing. Someone suggested super tape, which apparently can be applied with no bond. Have you ever heard of it and does it hold for at least 2 weeks?
    Thanks.

  17. Shoplacewigs says:

Thanks! Super Tape works well if you want to wear your wig for no more than a week at a time. Be sure to tie your perimeter down when you sleep, workout, and shower. This maybe the perfect option for you! Hope this helps!
