Wanting a Lace-front or full lace wigs ,Please help?

I want to purchase a full lace wig but have a few questions:Do they harm your natural hair? Can they be worn for a long periods of time (heard some where they shouldn't be worn everyday) Are there any sites where you can get them at a discount price? Does your hair have to be cornrolled or wrapped inorder for the wig to fit your head properly? Anyone out there who has one please let me know the pros & cons of Lace front & full lace wigs.

  1. hadarahwigs says:

To protect your natural hair, add 1/2 inch to your measurements so that you can apply the wig in front of your actual hairline.

Some adhesives state that they hold for up to 3 weeks but I haven't found one that really does what it says. I would say if you want to properly maintain your own hair, go for a 5-7 day hold so you can remove the wig and care for/condition your natural hair.

You should style your hair so that it lies as flat as possible under the wig. A beehive cornrow, small plaits and wrapping all work very well.

Pros – If your application is on point, you will have a very natural look. With proper maintenance, your wig will last for six months to a year or more.

Cons – It takes a lot of practice to master the skill of applying the wig. Finding the right adhesive is a process of trial and error because everyone's body chemistry is different. The industry is not regulated so some adhesives are dangerous (beware of anything containing toulene!).
